Customer case
AMI hairdressers
In 1969, Dini ter Avest opened a new salon in the center of Borculo: Haarmode Dini. She shared her passion not only with her customers, but also with her son Gerben ter Avest. He took over the salon in 1989 and also opened a second branch in Neede. He was the first to introduce the concept "without an appointment". This made Haarmode Dini the first hairdresser in the Netherlands where you could walk in for a haircut or coloring. After the successful opening of a second salon in Neede, Gerben Haarmode Dini expanded further. In 1991, in addition to his salons in Borculo and Neede, he opened a new salon in Winterswijk. After opening an establishment in Vorden in 1993, he started a franchise formula for hairdressers under the name AMI Kappers. From then on, all Haarmode Dini salons were called AMI Kappers.
In 50 years, AMI Kappers has grown to where it is today. More than 100 branches spread throughout the Netherlands, mainly located in the Achterhoek region and the Rotterdam region.
Aimy has two systems in one
Before this, AMI Kappers also worked with a digital schedule. However, we did work with two separate systems: one system for the appointment module and one system for the cash register. Aimy has two systems in one. This took some getting used to in the beginning for our employees. But through good cooperation with Aimy, training videos and online knowledge sessions, this is getting better and better!
'The progressive nature of Aimy aligns with AMI Kappers. Aimy continues to develop continuously and listens to our wishes. It's a great partnership where together we strive for the best software for our salons.'
